Rowan and Her Bottle

Rowan is getting a lot better at holding her bottle.  She can actually feed herself through most of a bottle feeding, pull the bottle out of her mouth and pop it back in.  It's still easiest when it's less full, but she's getting there!

Rowan rolled over for the first time today.  She went from tummy to back.  Between the two of us, I'm not sure who was more surprised when it happened.  I guess back to tummy rolling isn't too far off now!

This past Saturday, Rowan ate her first solid food, some brown rice cereal.  Behold!

Swaddle Weaning

We're trying to wean Rowan from falling asleep while swaddled, so the first step is to loosen the wrap.  Last night was the trial run.  When I went in to get her ready in the morning, she had wormed both arms out and shoved one through the sleep-sack sleeve.  Progress!

I Love My Smartphone

Just downloaded an app on my phone so I can update Rowan's blog on the fly, so hopefully this will help me post more stuff.

Rowan and my mom in California

For my mom's birthday, Rowan, my mom, and I went to the beach for a photoshoot.  The idea was to get some shots, edit them a bit, have my mom pick her favorite, and get that printed and framed as her birthday present.  Here are my six favorite shots. My mom's favorite is the second one, so my friend Michelle is going to help me edit it so it looks super nice, which is great of her.
