Everyday Activity Videos

Here are a couple of videos showing Rowan doing what she does on an average day, so those of you who don't get to see her often can see how she's interacting with her environment.

Watching Merry
Rowan loves to watch the cats, and since Merry is around more often, that usually means him.  Pippin doesn't care for her so much and generally stays away.

She's getting much better at sitting up and reaching for things.

Some Instagram Photos of Rowan

For those of you not familiar with Instagram, it's an app for iPhone and Android that lets you take photos and run them through arty filters to make them look cool.  I downloaded it for my Android and have been using it a lot to take pictures of Rowan.  One of the things I like best about it is that if she moves around and ends up blurry, Instagram helps make it look arty instead of just a blurry picture!  Score!  Anyway, here are a bunch of pictures I've taken via Instagram in the past two weeks.

I usually take movies of Rowan with my phone because I always have that around, and she loves to look at it and try to grab it, especially when I'm filming...

EEEEEE!

When Rowan is happy or excited, she squeals loudly.  She doesn't laugh a whole lot, but she makes this noise all the time.

Cadence Tickles Rowan

Rowan and I went to visit with my good friend Mary and her darling 18-month-old daughter, Cadence.  Cadence is very curious about Rowan and likes to pat her and touch her gently, and today Rowan was in a good mood and found all the attention delightful.

Rowan spent the next hour and a half laughing at everything Cadence did.  She's never laughed so hard for so long.  It was great.  Nothing quite like a laughing baby!

The Raspberry Game

Rowan decided that blowing raspberries was fun, and every time I would do it, she answered.

Rowan is super bad at naps, and she generally only falls asleep during the day when she's nursing and sideways on the Boppy.  So I'm working on breaking her of that habit, or trying to.  And she's not too happy about it.  Hopefully we will figure out something that works.
